This Privacy Policy explains how PickXV may collect, use, store and disclose personal information when you use PickXV.com and related PickXV services.

PickXV aims to collect only information reasonably necessary to operate and protect the service.

Personal information is handled in accordance with applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates.

Depending on how you use PickXV, we may process information including:

• Your selected rugby club or neutral status.
• Your PickXV account identifier.
• Predictions submitted through PickXV.

PickXV does not require payment-card or banking information in order to participate in its standard prediction competitions.

PickXV operates public competitive leaderboards.

Your display name, supported club, points, rankings and relevant PickXV competition results may therefore be publicly visible.

Your email address, password and private account credentials are not intended to be displayed publicly.

Users should select a display name they are comfortable displaying publicly.

PickXV may process personal information where reasonably necessary to provide the service requested by a user, administer the platform, maintain platform security, protect legitimate operational interests, comply with legal requirements or where applicable consent has been provided.

Where processing relies on consent and applicable law provides a right to withdraw that consent, users may withdraw it subject to processing that remains legally permitted or required.

PickXV uses third-party technology providers to provide certain infrastructure and account services.

These services may process information required to authenticate users, maintain account sessions and securely operate the PickXV platform.

PickXV currently uses Supabase as part of its database and authentication infrastructure.

PickXV may use third-party providers for services including website hosting, database infrastructure, authentication, security, email delivery, analytics and technical support.

These providers may process information only to the extent reasonably necessary to provide their services or as otherwise permitted by applicable law.

PickXV does not sell users' personal information.

Winning a promotional prize may require PickXV to obtain information necessary to arrange delivery or redemption.

Where information needs to be provided to a promotional partner for this purpose, PickXV will seek to limit the information provided to what is reasonably necessary.

A user's private account information will not be provided to a sponsor merely because that sponsor provides a PickXV prize.

Where PickXV sends optional promotional or marketing communications, users will be provided with an appropriate method of opting out where required.

Essential service communications relating to an account, security, rules, predictions or competition administration may still be sent where necessary.

PickXV may use cookies, browser storage and similar technologies where necessary to maintain sessions, authenticate users, remember preferences, protect the service and operate website functionality.

PickXV may also use appropriate technologies to understand website performance and improve the service.

If non-essential analytics, advertising or marketing technologies requiring consent are introduced, PickXV may provide appropriate notice and consent controls.

How you heard about us: when you sign up you can tell us how you found PickXV. We also save the campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) from the link you arrived on in a cookie for up to 30 days, and store them on your profile when you sign up. PickXV uses reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure.

No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

Users are responsible for protecting their own account credentials and should not share passwords with other people.

PickXV retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain legitimate competition records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and comply with applicable legal requirements.

Information that is no longer reasonably required will be deleted, anonymised or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable law.

Subject to applicable UAE law, users may have rights concerning their personal information, including rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction of certain processing, objection to certain processing and obtaining information about how their data is handled.

PickXV may need to verify the identity of a person making a privacy request before acting on it.

Privacy requests may be submitted through PickXV's published contact channel.

Users may request deletion of their PickXV account.

Certain information may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or maintaining the integrity of historical competition results.

Where appropriate, historical competition records may instead be anonymised.

PickXV may be used by rugby supporters of different ages.

PickXV does not knowingly seek unnecessary personal information from children.

Where required by applicable law or considered appropriate for a particular feature or promotional prize, PickXV may require the involvement or consent of a parent or legal guardian.

A prize awarded to a minor may be required to be claimed or redeemed through their parent or legal guardian.

Some technology providers used to operate PickXV may process or store information outside the United Arab Emirates.

Where applicable, PickXV will handle such processing and international transfers in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements.

PickXV may disclose information where required by applicable law, a court, law-enforcement body, regulator or other competent authority.
