No purchase, entry fee or wager required.

PickXV is a free rugby prediction competition. You never need to pay, purchase anything, make a deposit or stake money or another item of value to submit predictions or compete for promotional prizes.

1. Making Your Picks

PickXV users predict the scores of rugby fixtures made available on the platform.

Predictions must be submitted before the applicable match locks. Unless otherwise stated on PickXV, each match locks at its scheduled kickoff time.

Once a match has locked, predictions for that fixture cannot normally be added or changed.

Users should complete every available fixture in a gameweek to maximise their potential score.

2. Scoring

PickXV is scored according to prediction accuracy using the scoring system published on the PickXV Scoring page.

Current core scoring system

  • 14 points — Exact score.
  • 7 points — Correct result with winning margin within 3 points.
  • 5 points — Correct winner/result.
  • 0 points — Incorrect winner/result.

Where the scoring page displays additional or updated scoring rules, the published rules applicable to that competition or gameweek will apply.

Users cannot purchase points, additional predictions, scoring advantages or an increased chance of winning.

3. Leaderboards

Points earned from valid predictions may contribute to one or more PickXV leaderboards.

These may include:

  • Gameweek leaderboards.
  • Overall season leaderboards.
  • Monthly or promotional leaderboards.
  • Club leaderboards.

Individual leaderboard positions are determined using points earned through the published PickXV scoring system.

4. Club Leaderboards

Users may select a rugby club to support through their PickXV account.

Eligible results may contribute towards that club's leaderboard performance.

Club rankings may use average points per eligible participant rather than total points. This allows clubs with different numbers of PickXV users to compete on a more comparable basis.

The methodology displayed on the relevant leaderboard will apply.

5. Tiebreakers

If two or more participants finish level on points for a prize or ranking, PickXV will determine the result using objective performance-based tiebreakers.

Tiebreakers are applied in this order:

  1. Most exact-score predictions.
  2. Lowest aggregate absolute score error.
  3. Lowest aggregate winning-margin error.
  4. Greatest number of correct match winners/results.
  5. Earliest valid completion of all predictions for the relevant competition period.

A random draw will not ordinarily be used to determine the winner of a tied PickXV prediction competition.

If an exceptional situation remains unresolved after all published tiebreakers have been applied, PickXV may introduce an additional objective prediction or performance-based tiebreaker and communicate that method to the affected participants.

6. Promotional Prizes

PickXV may offer promotional prizes from time to time.

Promotional prizes may be supplied by PickXV or by promotional partners and sponsors.

Participants do not pay an entry fee and do not contribute money or anything else of value towards a prize pool.

Promotional prizes are not funded by participant wagers.

The prize available for a particular gameweek, month, season or promotion will be displayed on PickXV or communicated through an official PickXV channel.

7. Prize Conditions

Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotional prizes:

  • Cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Are subject to availability.
  • May have an expiry date or reasonable redemption period.
  • May be subject to booking or venue requirements imposed by the promotional partner.
  • May require reasonable identity or eligibility verification before redemption.

PickXV may substitute an unavailable prize with another promotional prize of reasonably comparable nature or value.

8. Sponsor-Funded Prizes

Some PickXV prizes are supplied by third-party promotional partners.

A promotional partner providing a prize does not automatically become responsible for operating PickXV, determining scores or administering PickXV leaderboards.

Where necessary to redeem a prize, PickXV may provide the promotional partner with limited information required to arrange delivery or redemption.

9. No Purchase or Wager

Participation in PickXV does not require a financial stake.

  • No entry fee.
  • No deposit.
  • No monetary stake.
  • No purchase required.
  • No participant-funded prize pool.
  • No paid prediction advantage.
  • No cash-out facility.
  • No peer-to-peer wagering.

Purchasing products or services from a PickXV sponsor does not improve a participant's score, ranking or chance of winning a standard PickXV competition.

10. Postponed Matches

If a fixture is postponed, PickXV may move the fixture to a new gameweek or competition period.

Where appropriate, predictions may reopen according to the applicable opening and locking rules for the rescheduled fixture.

PickXV may invalidate predictions attached to the original fixture where necessary to correctly administer the rescheduled match.

11. Forfeits and Walkovers

Where a match is forfeited or determined as a walkover, PickXV may use the result officially recognised by the relevant competition organiser.

Where an official competition rule records a forfeit or walkover using a specified score, PickXV may use that score for prediction scoring.

12. Fixture and Result Corrections

Rugby schedules and results may change.

PickXV may correct kickoff times, venues, results, competition information or other fixture data where reliable updated information becomes available.

PickXV may also correct obvious scoring or data-processing errors where necessary to ensure that the published rules have been applied correctly.

13. Fair Play

PickXV competitions are intended to reward genuine rugby predictions.

Participants must not:

  • Operate multiple accounts to gain an advantage.
  • Manipulate predictions or scoring.
  • Attempt to alter leaderboard information.
  • Exploit technical errors to gain points or prize eligibility.
  • Access another participant's account without permission.
  • Use unauthorised automated systems to submit predictions.

PickXV may remove predictions, points, prize eligibility or accounts where there is reasonable evidence of manipulation, fraud or serious abuse.

14. Technical Problems

Users are responsible for ensuring predictions have been successfully saved before the relevant match locks.

Where a technical problem occurs, the prediction recorded by PickXV's system before the applicable deadline will ordinarily be treated as the valid prediction.

PickXV is not required to accept a late prediction merely because a participant intended to submit a different prediction before kickoff.

15. Young Participants

PickXV may be used by rugby supporters of different ages.

Where a prize winner is under 18, PickXV may require a parent or legal guardian to confirm eligibility and accept or redeem the prize on the participant's behalf.

Additional age requirements may apply to particular prizes, venues or promotional partners.

16. Changes to Competition Rules

PickXV may update these Competition & Prize Rules where reasonably necessary to improve the competition, correct an issue or comply with applicable requirements.

Material rule changes should not ordinarily be applied retrospectively in a manner that unfairly alters a completed competition result.

17. Relationship With the Terms

These Competition & Prize Rules should be read together with the PickXV Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

If specific rules are published for an individual PickXV promotion, those specific rules will apply to that promotion together with these general rules.
